in a three-year general surgery training program
leading to an MS degree.

in the NEET – SS (Super-specialty) entrance
exam to secure a training position in the
three-year neurosurgery course leading to an MSc degree. In case you are not able to secure
a good rank in the NEET – SS exam, you can
also undergo neurosurgery training from private
hospitals with DNB (Diplomate of National
Board) accreditation.
One has to qualify for the DNB CET (Centralized
Entrance Test) – SS exam conducted by the
National Board of Examinations (NBE) and thereafter
get enrolled with an accredited private teaching
institute and hospital for training.
On completion
of the three-year training program, one will
be awarded the DNB degree in neurosurgery.
The government has announced that MCh and
DNB degrees will be treated at par while applying
