Bihar Student Credit Card Yojana Online Apply 2024

The State Government of Bihar announced the Bihar Student Credit Card Yojana in Oct 2016 to provide an interest-free financial loan to students for pursuing higher studies. It is part of the 7 Nischay program launched by the chief minister of Bihar Shri Nitish Kumar to empower youth through financial support in studies and employment opportunities.

Previously, the scheme is run by the education department facilitating loans to the students through nationalized banks acting as a guarantor. Given the banks’ reluctance in implementation, the government announced in March 2018 that it will set up the Education Finance Corporation to disburse the loans.
