IGNOU Scholarship 2022 –IGNOU University provides the IGNOU Scholarship 2022 to the students of reserved categories like Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Weaver Community, Transgender, Jail Prisoners and Physically Handicapped as per the rules of IGNOU University.

The learners belonging to the above categories are eligible for the IGNOU Scholarship 2022 by the Government of India. They are advised to collect the scholarship form from the Directorate of Social Welfare or the office of the Social Welfare Officer of their state, fill them up and submit the duly filled scholarship form to the Regional Director at the Regional Centre. Recruited/registered for the course, they applied for admission to the required certification by the Regional Director.

Note – IGNOU Scholarship Form is not available or uploaded online for download, so candidates are advised to take the form from offline resources only which we have mentioned earlier.

After the above certification, the IGNOU scholarship form must be collected again from the regional centre and re-submitted to the office of the Social Welfare Officer or Directorate of Social Welfare in your state for scholarship or reimbursement. Program Fee. 

The Scholarship Scheme of the National Center for Employment Promotion of Persons with Disabilities (NCPEDP) for Post Graduate level programs is applicable only to the students of this University. Such students are advised to apply directly to the awarding authority.

IGNOU Scholarship 2022

Eligible contenders have to submit the application form to apply for IGNOU University Scholarship Program. The application forms are available at the Directorate of Social Welfare or the office of the Social Welfare Officers of your state. Collect the application form and fill it with all the required details like

  • Name
  • Father’s name
  • Date of birth
  • Ggender
  • Email ID
  • Phone number etc.

Attach all the important documents with the application form Submit the completed application to the Regional Director at the Regional Center for the required certificate by the Director Once you get the certificate from the Director withdraw the application form from the center and submit it again Go to the office of the Social Welfare Officer for the Directorate of Social Welfare of your state.

IGNOU Scholarship 2022 Online Apply

Students (new students) applying for the scholarship for the first time are required to “register” on the portal as a new applicant by providing accurate and certified information printed on their documents in the “Student Registration Form”. The registration form is required to be filled by the parents/guardians of the students below the age of 18 years on the date of registration.

Before starting the registration process, students are advised to keep the following documents handy:

  • Student’s Educational Documents
  • Student’s bank account number and IFSC code of the bank branch

Note: For Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme, where students do not have their own bank account, parents can provide their own account details. However, the parent’s account number can only be used for scholarship applications for a maximum of two children.

  • Student’s Aadhaar Number
  • In case Aadhaar is not available, the original student certificate from the Institute/ School and
  • Scanned copy of Aadhar Enrollment ID and Bank Passbook.

Scholarship Category

The scholarship schemes are divided into major categories as mentioned below (Students are required to select the respective category based on the class/course in which they are studying):

  • Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme: For students studying in class IX and X.
  • Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme: For students of class 11th, 12th and above, including ITI, B.Sc, B. Com., B.Tech, Medical / Students studying in top level colleges like IITs and IIMs / Students pursuing technical and vocational courses etc. (Attach a hyperlink mentioning the details of schemes of various ministries)

Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Minorities/PWD can avail the scheme of Fee Waiver/Exemption/Scholarship offered by UGC/MHRD/different State Govt./Govt. Department. For eligibility and process details interested students can get details from the respective agencies.
