Basically to apply for any Indian Army bharti aspirants are required to posses or have certain qualification for the trade they desire in accordance to the Indian Army eligibility criteria. Educational Qualification :

  • Educational Qualification : This criteria is specific for each trade of the Indian Army, the complete qualification required for each trade has been mentioned in the following manner.

Soldier GD:- (a) 10th Class Pass minimum 33% marks in each subject with overall aggregate of 45%.

 (b) 12th class simple pass or equivalent from a recognized board or University.

Soldier Clerk/SKT:- (a) Should have secured 50% marks in each subject and 60% marks in aggregate in class XII.

(b) Should have studied English and Maths / Accts / Book Keeping in class XII OR X and should have secured min 50% marks in each of these subjects , whether studied in class XII OR X.

(c) Even if a candidate is a graduate or has a higher qualification, percentage marks scored in class XII would be applicable towards his eligibility.

Soldier Technical:- 10+2 /Intermediate exam pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.

Soldier Nursing Assistant:- (a) 10+2 / Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject. 

(b) Candidate should be Graduate with Botany, Zoology / Bio Science & English.

Nationality : Indian, Subject of Nepal /  Bhutan, Tibetan Refugee.

Martial Status : Unmarried for all trade.

Indian Army UP Bharti Physical Requirement :

According to the official requirement the candidates are also required to qualify with certain physical standards that has been included under the Army physical criteria during the recruitment.

The candidates must possess certain physical attributes such as Indian Army height, chest and weight according to their categories as prepared by the authority. Hence these physical requirements varies as illustrated in the following chart.

  • Sol GD:- 169 Cm
  • Sol Clerk:- 162 Cm
  • Sol Tradesman:- 169 Cm

Chest : 77 cm with minimum 5 cm expansion.

Weight : 49 kg to 50 Kg depending upon the category of the candidate.

Uttar Pradesh Army Recruitment Rally Selection Process :

As the bharti proceeds the candidates are selected for the crucial Army selection process supervised by respective authorities. Generally the selection process is comprised of three (3) different tests i.e, Physical efficiency test, Medical test and Written Test or written exam.

To ensure their selection candidates must pass each of these test to be qualified for the final selection list which is announced by the Indian Army after the completion of the selection process.

Physical Efficiency Test Details : The selection of the candidates begins with their physical fitness test. During this test each individual  must complete different task within the official norms.

Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their score and performance in some case. Nonetheless aspirants must complete the tasks mentioned in the chart below to pass the test to ensure their selection for the tests that follows.

Medical Test : To qualify this test the candidates must have proper medical conditions including physical structure. Army Medical Corps will be in charge of this test and will supervise the entire medical examination of each candidate.

Examination of health conditions, eye sight, physical standards, oral health, etc.will be included in this test. Candidates with physical deformity, contagious illness, poor eye sight will be declared medically unfit.

Written Exam : At the end of the selection process will be the toughest test of the entire stage. Selected candidates are called for the written exam which will be based on the exam pattern and syllabus that has been prescribed for each trade exclusively.

The exam is going to be the intelligence ability best of the candidates over certain topics and their selection is determined by their score, however to pass the test aspirants must at-least score the official cut off marks as set by the authority.
