TNTET 2024

TNTET Notification 2024 pdf was released on March 7, 2024, in order to recruit teachers for primary and upper primary grades in the state of Tamil Nadu. The exam will be valid for seven years. TNTET 2024 is a state-level exam that consists of two papers. Paper 1 is for primary teachers (grades 1–5), and paper 2 is for secondary teachers (grades 6–8). TNTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

If you are aspiring for the position of a teacher in Tamil Nadu, you should be aware of the eligibility criteria for TNTET 2024 before applying for the exams.

Age Restrictions

• The applicant’s age must be at least 18 years old.
• However, no more than 40 years.
• Relaxation of the upper age limit for reserved category candidates in accordance with government rules and regulations.

Education Qualification for Paper 1 (1-5)

• Ed in Nursery Teacher Training for two years, BTC in Urdu, and BTC in English
• Teacher Education Diploma
• A diploma in elementary education from a recognised teacher training institute, also known as a DIET, is required.
• E.Ed./B.Ed. Students in their final year are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates who are blind or visually impaired are not permitted to take Paper 1.

Education Qualification for Paper 2 (6-8)

• A. / B.Sc. / B.Lit. degree with main subjects of Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History, and Geography. B.Ed. from a reputable university
• Candidates with a B.Lit. (Tamil) degree may also apply.

How to Apply Online for TNTET 2024?

The TNTET 2024 application form will be available online only at trb.tn.nic.in from 14 March to 13 April 2024. Begin your online application for TNTET 2024 by providing all of the required information and paying the application fee. Please ensure that your online application is submitted by June 4, 2024. The steps to completing the online application form are as follows:

1. Go to the TN TRB’s official website.
2. Then, choose the paper for which you wish to apply.
3. Following the selection, the TNTET Application Form will be displayed.
4. Enter your personal, academic, and other information here.
5. Scan and upload your photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG/PNG format.
6. The size of the photograph should be between 20-60 kB, and the size of the signature should be between 10-30 kB.
7. Now, pay the application fee as per the Category.

TNTET 2024 Application Fees

• Rs.500/- for general and other candidates
• 250/- for SC, SCA, ST, and PWD candidates
• Under no circumstances will the application fee be refunded.
• Fees can only be paid online.
