NEET UG Exam Date 2023: NEET UG Exam 2023 is a common medical entrance exam for all medical colleges in India, whether government or private. It is a national-level medical entrance exam in which more than 10 lakh candidates appear every year. Every medical student aspires to qualify for the NEET UG Exam. As per the directives of the apex court, the NEET has replaced the AIPMT exam from the year 2016 onwards. Now NEET is the only medical entrance exam by which a student can get admission in the undergraduate courses of MBBS or BDS of any government or private medical college. What is the Age Requirement for NEET 2023 Exam?

A candidate must not be younger than 17 years and older than 25 years as or on 31st December of the year of the admission. The candidates who belong to reserved categories have an age relaxation for 5 years which means the maximum age limit for such candidates is 30 years.

How Many Times Can I Appear for NEET UG Exam?

The NEET authorities introduced restrictions to the number of times a candidate can appear for the NEET UG Exam. According to the official announcement, a candidate can only apply for NEET UG Exam three times only.

What Is The Educational Qualification Requirement for NEET UG Exam?

A candidate must clear his/her 10+2 or HSC with at least 50% (40% for OBC/SC/ST candidates). He/she must have cleared Physics, Chemistry and Biology subject with at least 50% in aggregate. In the case of the PH/PWD category – a candidate needs to score 45% marks if he/she belongs to Gen-PH and 40% if he/she belongs to SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH.

What Fees Do I Need to Pay for NEET 2023 Exam?

A candidate needs to pay Rs.1400 as a general candidate and Rs.750 if the candidate belongs to SC, ST, and PH categories.

What Are the Documents Required for NEET 2023 Exam?

Scanned copy of your recent photograph. It should be in JPG format and the file size must be between 10KB to 100KB. Make sure that the photograph is taken with a white background and the candidate’s name and date of the photo taken must be mentioned at the bottom of the Photograph.
Scanned copy of your signature. It should be in JPG format and the file size must be between 3KB to 20KB.

Requirement for Aadhaar for the NEET Applicants 2023

Candidates, who are Indian Citizens and ordinary residents of India, shall register in NEET 2023 using Aadhaar. As the application forms for NEET 2023 are yet to be released, candidates can apply for the Aadhaar card to the nearest centre.

NEET UG Exam 2023 application process requires students to have their valid Aadhaar Numbers ready. To apply, aspirants must complete the registration process and then proceed further to fill up the application form.

Candidates can apply for the Neet Exam 2023 online. There is no other mean to apply for the exam. Before initiating one’s application process one must check the new guidelines relating to the eligibility conditions.

  • A candidate should visit the official website of CBSE for the NEET exam.
  • There are 2 stages in the application process.
  • In the first stage of the application, an applicant should register himself or herself. For registration, an applicant is required to provide basic details like name, email id and contact number.
  • After registration, a login id and password are given on one’s email. By using these log in details an applicant can access the application form.
  • One should fill the application form with all necessary details including the Aadhar number.
  • One should upload the scanned copies of the recent pic and signature.
  • Along with the application form, one should pay the requisite application fee.
  • The application fee for the general and OBC category applicants is Rs.1400, whereas for the other category of applicants it is Rs.750.
  • The application fee can be paid by debit card or credit card. One can also pay the application fee by e-challan made from the bank of SBI, ICICI and HDFC bank.

  • Students should have done 12th class or equivalent in Science subjects with a combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology from any recognized University or Board.
  • The minimum percentage of aggregate marks scored by the General Category candidate should be at least 50%. While SC/ ST/ OBC category of candidates are required to have scored minimum aggregate marks of 40%in the 12th class. The physically handicapped candidates of the General Category should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 45% in the 12th class.
  • If an applicant is appearing in the final year of the 12th class, is eligible to appear for the exam.
  • The minimum age limit for this exam is 17 years. While the maximum age limit for the general category candidate is 25 years and 30 years for candidates belonging to SC/ ST or physically handicapped categories.
  • An applicant for this exam should be an Indian citizen. Candidates belonging to the OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) category are also eligible to appear for this exam.

EXAM PATTERN OF NEET 2023

Being a NEET UG Exam aspirant, you should not only be concerned about the syllabus, reference books, preparation, planning, and coaching but also you should be well-aware of the NEET UG Exam Pattern. Being familiar with the pattern is important as it helps you in many ways such as:

Note: Biology consists of Botany and Zoology.

  • The examination will be conducted in 10 languages which include – English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Tamil, and Telugu.
  • Any candidate who opts for any of the regional languages mentioned above will be provided with an exam centre in the specific state where the language is spoken.
  • For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded to the candidate and for each wrong answer, 01 mark will be deducted from the total. There will be no deduction from the score if no answer is given for a question.
  • Each subject will have 45 questions which mean:
